Thats flipping fantastic Tony. What a brilliant job you have done, a very nice bit of engineering with the rail bender also..... :thumbright:

Hi Rod,

The rail bender I made many years ago from I think a redundant vertical slide. Later I made a much simpler one to bend heavier sections. A vice with flat tops to its jaws is needed and the rollers can be fitted when necessary. If you have a lathe the rollers are straight forward to make, I made quite a few as blanks and profile them when needed.

Take care Tony.

Fascinating! I really do like modified charity shop finds and this is one of the best!

Very detailed work, thanks for sharing. It's true around this time of the year I always want to do something with my railway, so it's not early, it's just the right mood for the work.

Hi Tony,

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I don't have a lathe anymore. When I was going through my divorce I left it at my ex's address because I had no where to store it, then her new fella sold it because he wanted the room for his stuff....I was not a happy chappie with him or her.... :cussing:

Still that's all in the past now......
