Running Free

Post by Andrew » Fri Jan 17, 2020 4:14 pm

A little Friday afternoon fun - Peter Spoerer's "Fourth Annual Free Running Competition"... It's an almost Pythonesque take on garden railways - I found it by accident and rather enjoyed it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86hMlyaSs3U

Peter seems to have made lots of other videos, including some of G1 garden meets - I haven't seen them yet, but I bet they're worth a watch...

Have a good weekend,

Andrew.

It's great isn't it? Very free-running, and a lovely model too - although I must admit, I was rooting for that beautiful teak brake carriage...

Quite a novel idea to lighten an afternoon running. I don't have such long or steep gradients, but I'm tempted! :P

Thats what it's all about isn't it. Having fun with your garden railway.

Brilliant Andrew. Thank you so much for finding and posting. Like Phil (Lonsdaler) it's a great idea to look at.

PS. I generally have gradients anyway, no matter how hard I try to get the line level...
