This is supposed to be a "Promotional Movie" made by the SaTR Management to publicize the Oasis Pool service.

So when can I make a booking to ride the pool train, are the pools heated?

From a technical point of view; I take it that there a gyroscopic device that adjusts the pool level for the grades, so there is no water depth variation at each end of the pools as the grade changes?
Pools mounted on base controlled by hydraulic rams perhaps?

Brilliant video Greg again. The shot taken from under the trellis seemed a bit scary but unusual.... Loved it.

It's finally stopped raining in Sydney, so it was possible to give my new baby Heisler a run at a mate's place. (My layout is still drying out)

Very nice slow running Greg. The very first bit coming out of the brush, just looks so realistic.

The log storage on the Climax is interesting, never seen it like that before.

I haven't made many videos lately, but I think this old hasn't been seen on this forum before.
It's the story of a very busy coal haulage day on the SaTR.

It's been a long time since the weather has been kind. But finally the four of us local GR fans were able to get together and run trains at my place.
It's much more fun with 4 trains vying for track rights!

Looks to have been a fun day. Your summer weather would be nice after our rather wet and windy start to 2024, and it looks as if we are in for a spell of cold weather for the next week.

I love the throaty chuff of loco #14 and that low shot of the Garratt climbing the bank is really picturesque.

Good to see a couple of familiar faces and of course the layout brings back fond memories.
Love the Garrett.

Since I had the track all cleaned up from the day before, I decided to get both of my Garratts out for a double-head spectacular. The blue Garratt is seldom run - the last run was in January last year. And the LiPo battery was still fully charged.
When run together it's obvious that big blue only chuffs twice per wheel revolution, but Red does 4! That's because Blue uses the cams on the Bachmann motor blocks and there are only 2 contacts. I doubt I will go to the trouble of adding the 2 extra contacts on both motor blocks - it's just too hard to work on the monster.
Red has my own voltage driven chuff speed so is closer to 4 chuffs per revolution
So here is the video..

And while uploading to youtube I saw an old video I had made in 2013 of four Garratts running here ! Very low resolution in those days!

Great videos Greg, there is no such thing as too many Garrett videos.

Great. I really liked the shot in the 2013 video with two Garratts - one above and one below

They are magnificent beasts... wondering now whether I have room for two Garratts ?

Thanks Peter, and everyone else who replied.

There can be no doubt that you NEED two Garratts. Get to it! (ignore the question of room)
