Hunslet LIZZIE hauling coal

Post by Chris Bird » Wed Aug 23, 2017 11:11 pm

Hi folks
I got inspired to make a little video yesterday, featuring my Brian Wilson design Hunslet some some coal wagons made up from cheap bamboo pen pots.

Your wagon builds always come out well Chris, proper job

Thanks Tom :)

Well I am planning to shoot another tomorrow with a different loco (not owned by me), but then it will depend on whether I have something new or different to film. I have a couple of double header ideas in mind, but we shall see........
Cheers
Chris

Great video, Love the Lizzie..although i didn’t see any coal wagons..but the timber is brilliant, love the build on them.

Can you tell me please why do you need a slo-mo, what is the purpose of it and how does it work.

Can you still buy the Lizzie, i have a Daughter called Lizzie...might point her in the direction for her to get me one..lol

I think Chris meant this video (only just noticed myself):

As to why do you need a Slomo, look on YouTube and search my threads then you can decide for yourself.

Brilliant wagons and the Lizzie is great. Shows how powerful live steam is.

Seen your videos before Tom and I can see you are running them really slow, creeping speed, but don’t or aren’t you able to do that anyway with your own controller and will it also restrict your top speed. I know we shouldn’t be running them flat out.

How easy or hard is it to fit one and the cost over a wagon fitted with one and the difference in operating them.

Sorry for all the questions Tom.
