The bricks really make it, well worth the effort, that's what model making is all about.

Sure.

These were taken one quiet Wednesday at Butterley in mid September. The sun was high and bright, but it was low enough to tell that it was autumn and not high summer anymore.

A lovely set of scenes Doug, your train really sets of the settled surroundings. A bit of spit and polish in that Great Western set. That track looks like its been there for years with all the growth.
Thanks for sharing.
Grant.

Hi again gents,

As said, there is more where that came from. That trip to Butterley marked the beginning of Autumn running, but it was a trip to a new venue this year for me - Echills Wood Railway that saw the later-autumn steaming arise. This particular occasion was Remembrance Sunday and so loos, where possible, were adorned suitably for the solemn occasion.

Echills Wood's "Stationmaster's Garden Railway" is a very photogenic place with a number of spots from where you can get some excellent photos. The rest of this album for your pleasure is here --> https://flic.kr/s/aHsm9Yc7rF
