Nice engine built by a well respected and competent builder and not many made so they don't often come up for sale.

I think if I had one to sell, this is the sort of figure I would be advertising it at to see if anyone bit with the understanding that I might take a lower offer.

When you get items like this come up for sale it is really hard to set a value.

Although I agree that just because something is old it doesn't make it valuable. The number of 80 year old Hornby engines or pre-war cameras I have had through my hands or been offered are a testament to that.

(Hands over totally b*****d Hornby No 1. tank engine, paint almost gone, rusty, wheels eaten by mazek rot, spring shot.)

This person had this up on the 6th Aug, then re-listed until the 20th, the cheeky person had put it up £50……..

Seen this also today at £95.70 plus postage of £14.97 = £110.67 which isn’t that bad, nice looking bridge though
