Seen this also today at £95.70 plus postage of £14.97 = £110.67 which isn’t that bad, nice looking bridge though

But at 600mm long it makes mine at just under 1200mm the bargain of the year for me at £20………….And I maybe basis…..I think mine is better……….

On the other hand. Some bargains do turn up.
I have just acquired a normally expensive item that was listed incorrectly for a very modest sum.
The sellers were most annoyed but at least they did dispatch it without too much arguing.

I won a myford 7 lathe a few years ago that was complete with an awful lot of accessories. It had been listed as "My Ford Lath" and the starting bid was £100, no one else bidded on it (I only found it by accident as I was looking for an anglepoise lamp and it had one attached and mentioned in the description).
The seller was most put out by the low bid and when I pressed them the reply I got went along the lines of " well we might not be home when you come and get it...."
So I didn't bother.

I was tempted, but it was a few hundred miles away and a would not have put it past them to give it a good belt or stuff a load of swarf in the workings.

If I was to be charitable I would say they were Ill informed and unrealistic about the nature of auctions and disappointed at the outcome. Possibly there was a serious need for a large cash injection, hence the reluctance to go through with the sale.

On the other hand they may have just been a Wally.

Amazing how some paint makes it cost significantly more than a new one!

I'd guess he is trying to recoup at least some of the money he laid out to have it weathered. Not criticising the paint job, it looks very good, but how anyone can describe the loco as being immaculate when it looks like that, is also beyond me

Perhaps he's hoping to cash in on the waiting time.
Track Shack are inviting reservations for delivery May 2020.

Because it "looks" like that artificially but the mechanical, hydraulic, integrity of metalwork etc is probably as good as new.

I agree it may well be mechanically immaculate, but that isn't what the ad says. It says " Immaculate Condition as seen in pictures" and the mechanical condition cannot be seen in the pictures.

Still think it's well overpriced......Thats the trouble though with our scale, they think it's ok to charge silly money. Happened to me with a couple of people in my area, don't bother with them now..........

What does the panel think a fair price would be for the yellow Lilla?

Dunno, but I was amused that it's listed as being in immaculate condition!

I like a little weathering, but this one's not my cup of tea, I''m afraid...
