Well I'm thinking of buying this one AND Tony's. And then breaking the chimney off Tony's one so I've got matching pair...

The previous item mentioned on here had a postal charge of £120 so this must be a bargain.....

The definition of madness - a Mamod for £900?

The same seller has a Locomotion railbus for £1800.....................

It seems that it's not only on eBay that the profit hungry madness strikes
Fancy some wheels anyone (normally around £20 a pack)

Well there is a little box underneath the picture that says "report incorrect product information".
Maybe we should all do that?

Is it just to discourage people from ordering? The items appear to be in the USA.

Never seen that one before, though I have sometimes heard of setting the price at a million dollars and only accepting an offer of the actual price from Gerhard.

mad or not, I would like to have this Wrightscale, I think the price is reasonable, unfortunately all my trains run on 45mm.

I've always admired this WD Baldwin, very detailed, but I'm also happy with my Accucraft version.

For many years, I have been using motor blocks from the LGB ToyTrain Otto loco (and its derivatives - OHO and Rusty) as the basis for some of my loco builds. For example, I used one for my Hughie Hunslet build ...

...and previously as the basis for my Black Hawthorn bash

The last secondhand Otto I bought in 2018 cost me £30 but I've noticed that now they are no longer manufactured, their secondhand price has risen quite dramatically. For example:

So, last week I was pleased to buy one on eBay for £59 (Inc postage) - sometimes it pays to shop around .....

There seemed to be a marked rise in prices for s/h LGB towards the end of last year..

Where as I was seeing items go for perhaps £80-90 they are now going for circa £120.00.

This does mean a better 'return on investment' for those I am presently holding, but finding replacements is becoming harder.

That is a very good price. Hope it runs well?

Looks like it's hardly been used. Only a tiny bit of wear on one skate and the wheels look pristine
