eBay madness
Re: eBay madness
Postage is probably fine, I think I paid around £26 to post a Wrightscale Wren a few years ago insured up to £2000.
Thanks

Re: eBay madness
Postage is ok. That's about what I would have needed to pay to send a loco to other member.

Re: eBay madness
OK chaps I was wrong. I've had a look at a couple of carriers and as you all say it is about the right priceI, teach me to check things before opening big mouth! I still think the postage is a lot of money though but perhaps I've got used to buying a lot on line where often the postage is free.

Re: eBay madness
Hmmm... I'm almost tempted... I'm saving for a Lilla, and this is a decent price, BUT I'd need to do a full repaint to fit in with my line. And, although the current colour scheme's not to my taste, it would be a shame to slop an amateur paint job over the top of a professional one! I'll keep saving... Unless the price drops any further!
Andrew.

Re: eBay madness
Yes, I did think that... Although Chris B's film shows one running very nicely without: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_YYMzI0r98tom_tom_go wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2019 12:18 pm I would have it but no space for a Slomo unfortunately.
I need to get back on eBay, but selling rather than buying! My loco fund is a long way from the stage where I can place an order! I fancy one in green, that I can eventually line out to represent the lovely Cilgwyn Quarry livery the real thing's carried recently...
Cheers,
Andrew.

Re: eBay madness
This is a rare opportunity, must be a real tiddler as it's the 7mm O gauge version [ not Narrow gauge of course ] but one straight out of the Archangel brochure,
needs a replacement dome but otherwise looks in good condition.
remember if you bid on this it will double in price by the time you've paid postage, customs duty and VAT....

Old style cylinders, faulty pressure gauge and obsolete R/C - surely under £1000 is a realistic price?
Year of manufacture 2017...

Re: eBay madness
I've never liked them anyway, wouldn't want to pay more than £600 personally, the only reason I would get one is to scrap the body and make a Bowaters Chevalier out of it.

Good news for those of us who managed to get one of the original issue GRS LKM diesels:

Proves to have been a very sound investment!

Typical of most 16mm modellers who haven't ever got around to mastering the black scary art of the spray gun.

Re: eBay madness
Given the more sensible price the one in the link below went for I don't see how the one I mentioned in my previous post can be worth the starting bid:

Re: eBay madness
No it's not and would probably just make that if the starting price was more reasonable, the trouble with these lady Anne's is that there are a lot of them and always the first to cast off when somebody wants to move on to something more exciting or has some resemblance to a real loco.

Re: eBay madness
Should anyone on here succeed in "winning" this item, I'd be happy to suggest a name:tom_tom_go wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2019 8:56 pm Another winning description:

Plenty of people seem interested, potentially a cheap way to acquire some RH running gear - and boiler? They surely can't be inspired by the poor thing's looks??
Cheers,
Andrew.

I would rather buy the kits, who knows how well it's been put together...
