Hi,

This question has appeared on Facebook and I'll repeat my answer to it that I wrote here.

It'll be out when its out and not a moment sooner.

Not everyone uses Facebook and I'm one that doesn't. I have genuine reasons. - but I appreciate your answer.

Latest shed posting says end of March, via facebook. Happy to wait as the Festiniog never really got me juices flowing.

Would appear something has changed or an IT hiccup as Richard Huss' notification on the 16mm Association Facebook group posted approx 13:00 today does not tally up with the current Shed Notices on the 16mm NGM website as of 18:15 today.

And as if someone had heard me telepathically I can now see the appropriate Shed Notice.

At 18:15 refresh/reload/clearing cache made no difference and there was no Ffestiniog update in the Shed Notices using Google Chrome for me. However after viewing Richard's posting over on Farcebook then clicking the URL around 18:44 the latest notice magically appeared.

The joys (or more correctly the frustrations) of the internet!

If the Ffestiniog Guide is not going to be available now until the Peterborough show, how about members picking up their copy there to save the Association the postage? Or is that just to difficult to administrate/co-ordinate?

That's exactly what the problem would be!

Bit late to the party, but I can say that I've proofed a few chunks of the guide. so it is on the way.  Andrew is /really/ busy at the moment with paying work.

The very latest news (earlier yesterday) was that it is now complete and will be dispatched next month, together with a further DVD of three of the demonstrations from the 2014 Show - making station platforms, planting your railway ans soldering - a total of an hour-and-a-half of Useful Stuff.

What's next in the pipeline? Well we need someone to write something! so if you want these guides to keep happening, we need people to come forward and pen them!

This is where the lines become blurred.... I am primarily a model maker, not a historian. I love the atmosphere and social history behind these stories, but have no intention to study in detail the intricacies of the mechanics involved. I applaud those who do because that is their passion and they take a justified pride in their research.
We are all in our own modelling world and select individual items of interest. My own is very personal to me and would not necessarily appeal to anyone else.
Huge thanks to all involved in producing the beautifully illustrated and informative magazine, I am already hungry for more but am unable to contribute on the grounds that I 'know nothing'!!!
