Old Magazines & old books.

I took the family on the Teifi Valley Railway yesterday. The Son and Heir enjoyed himself immensely and I acquired a box full of Garden Rail Magazines, not a complete set but a lot of early ones, a few from the late 1990's and some from the early 2000's.

It was quite surprising to see the suppliers and loco builders that have come and gone over the years. Steamlines, Martin's Models, J.D. Models to name but a few.

I know we have a great selection of suppliers today but we seem to have lost some rather interesting companies.

Looking through 16mm Narrow Gauge Live Steam Model Locomotives Book Volume 1 by Peter Dobson is another great stroll down memory lane. Albeit one spent wondering if anyone actually bought some of the ingenious creations being offered.
If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer!
