Roy Wood Models - end of the line?

Post by CaptainClockwork » Thu Jul 21, 2022 7:26 pm

I just heard some quite sad news on one of the 16mm FaceBook groups - per Chris Bird (among other people), due to issues in his personal life, Roy Wood has decided to step away from his 16mm loco business. Can anyone in this group verify this? His website does not appear to have any note of this yet, but an update could be coming soon.

If this is true, I wish Roy well, and I hope his excellent little models continue to serve as his legacy in this community.
Best Regards,
Ian

Just checked the website.

The home page confirms he is still trading but no longer making loco and that the business is up for sale.

I understand that the business was sold just before Christmas, but have to wait for the new owner to make the announcement once they have finalised the details. I'm assured that it is in good hands though.

I think this was mentioned in the 16mm area group of the person concerned?
But I think we will have to wait for an announcement, and allow time for the new owner to get organised..
