My wish list there was a better range of RC controls for model railways . Since the application is clearly mature in model aircraft.
There are a few RC controls other than Deltang, though I use Deltang through RC Trains and Micron; just to name a few available:
  • Fosworks
  • Brian Jones
  • Revolution
  • Loco Works
I know there are others, just can't recall.

I know deltang .. BUT never seems to be any technological advancements from anyoone
Whoever its still the same offering : Box ( tx) that sends fwd /reverse/ speed and if your lucky a whistle or two Wrapped up in small print.

a wish

provision of feedback to tx controller eg : track device at a station stop that resets tx controls to zero and train stops ..... ( and maybe whistles ..LOL)

do I dream ?

Yes, and Rik's Peckforton blogs cover those in precise detail.

Hello Spaeker,
so far I have a Reely remote control from www.conrad.de
A 4-channel transmitter and 2 matching receivers, each, one for channel 1 +2, the other for channel 3 + 4. So I can control the diesel locomotive NS2 with channel 1 + 2 and the steam locomotive HF110C with channel 3 + 4 all components for the remote control of RC ships.
I will use the new remote control from Piko in the future, it's simple and inexpensive:
Piko 35040 - G R / C transmitter and receiver for locomotives.
Regards from Berlin
Michael

You're making excellent use of the space. I like the way the trains run across the window so those in the house can experience the railway as well.

That looks to be well thought out, and clever use of plastic rainwater pipe for the legs. I look forward to seeing how it develops.

Hallo,
thank you for your positive comments.Progress is slow because we are only in the garden on a few weekends.
Unfortunately, the track elements cannot remain set up all the time, but it's still a lot of fun to ride the train in the fresh air.
Greetings from near Berlin; Michael

Everything looks well engineered, and tidy. - Even though you are working.

Can you leave some of it up between sessions, or is access required at all other times?

Hallo Phil,
I have to dismantle the modules every time.
Setting up the train station takes about 30 minutes.I designed it so that I can attach the station to the shed, but also stand alone if I want to set it up somewhere else

The aluminum frames of the station modules come from aviary construction and were still cheap a few years ago. The green wooden panels are made of 100mm box plywood and are painted to be weatherproof
