MDLR - Relaying Day!!

Post by MDLR » Wed May 27, 2009 10:30 pm

Following my recent vandalism, I'm pleased to report that the insurance has paid up, I've got two parcels to pick up from the sorting office, and the track arrives on Friday!

As a result, I'm scheduling a Grand Relaying Day on Sunday 28th June. If anybody wants to help out, please contact me by private message so I can sort the food for the barbie out!

Fantastic news Brian, I take it that when my uncle goes down towards the end of August he will be able to bring Taliesin for a run.
"What the hell is that?"
"It's a model icebreaker sir."
"It's a bit big isn't it?"
"It's a full scale model sir....."

Thats great news Brian! I'm sure you'll get plenty of help if there's free food on offer! HaHa!

.....[a few minutes pass hunting down replacements].....

"So, which comedian has uncoupled my entire train?!?!"

Well I have the date pencilled in, will we be running works trains as the build progresses? (even if it is only a few flat wagons bringing cups of tea!)

Are you thinking about security? I know it would be tempting to put mains voltage on the rails but I have a few ideas about a cheap alarm, and I could donate a small but very loud army surplus siren, which I am sure would stop them dead in their tracks!!!
It's a Mamod Jim, but not as we know it!
