Latest PLR blog updates

Post by ge_rik » Mon Jan 06, 2020 4:19 pm

Just uploaded a couple of posts to my blog which might be of interest to some.

An account of how I bashed some HLW wagon chassis and scratchbuilt a rake of Snailbeach-like hopper wagons

And a rationale for why my railway is the way it is....

Excellent Rik, thank you!

I particularly enjoyed the fact and fiction "why my railway's the way it is" one - I may have a go at that myself sometime...

All the best,

Andrew.

PS It's the second time I'e seen them, and I'm still amazed at your patience in building all those hopper wagons...

Like Andrew, that's the second time Ive seen those hoppers too, and the wonderful weathering job on the timber and metalwork. Have no doubt of your ability to weather a loco or two.

I daren't even look at those hoppers again. I know I could never achieve anything approaching that quality!

I don't think I'd read your 'reality history' before Rik, it makes interesting and infromative reading.

All the best,

Andrew

If past updates are anything to go by, I am sure they will be excellent. :thumbright:
Has will any attempt at loco weathering Rik, you will give every ounce from your truly wonderful talent.
