Not 7/8th's, 1/12th if you are being accurate for scale and gauge!
If you would like to see Katie in the metal (and it is well worth seeing as it is rather nice) then visit the museum at the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway. Hopefully, the paperwork for steaming Katie in public will be sorted out soon, and Katie will be used for occasional outings on the line. It should be out for the Oktoberfest event during the last week of October.

"What the hell is that?"
"It's a model icebreaker sir."
"It's a bit big isn't it?"
"It's a full scale model sir....."

I love the big tea tray on top of one of the tanks - the driver and fireman are well catered for!
Where did I put that uncoupler?

That isn't a tea tray, it is simply a recess filling the space between the top of the tank and the boiler. Might get used for carrying tea and biscuits on jollys up the line though...

Yes, even if its not designed as that, it looks a great secondary benefit- those raised edges would give a modicum of control of 'mug slippage' - and its a great place to keep the bacon & eggs ready for cooking on the back of the shovel
