Sandstone and Termite web pages

Post by gregh » Sun Mar 12, 2023 3:43 am

I have always had a large internet site for my trains, consisting of over  50 pages. You have always seen the link at the bottom of my ‘signature’ here.

I had not had time to keep the pages up to date over the last few years, but a month ago I tried to open them and they didn't work.  After much wasted time I found that my ISP (Optus)  had changed the address from a http://  to the secure https://  type.   And they never told anyone!
As a result I had to change all the links on all my pages - a long job to say the least.
Then when I had done that, I tried to upload them all to the web only to find that Optus had changed their FTP protocol.  Another problem that took me days to solve.

Anyhow, I now have all the web pages working again. (I think)

So if you are hard up for something to do you might like to look at the home page
https://members.optusnet.com.au/satr/satr.htm

and maybe click on the 'whats new? button in the menu on the right.
and the 'Photo Index' link  to see lots of pictures.

Someday I will set up separate pages for the new indoor Claymine Branch.

Thanks for that Greg. I have occasionally looked in to your site, just to pass the time, and I seem to remember that the last time I attempted it I got some sort of error. Just thought it was a temporary glitch and moved on. Wish I'd said something, now!
