Not the best photo in the world but it's the best one I've got of her in 1 piece again. ./myff/2038061/PC110307.JPG Great to see again! Thanks for posting. I would love a loco with the Mamod/MSS logo on the bodywork. I think your loco looks excellent. Please post some more pictures if you can when ...

Hi Bryan - some sort of spreader tool is used to splay the base of the stack out at the smokebox end so that it holds in place in the main casting. At least that's how it looks like it is assembled! I have had quite a few with loose chimneys and have had success by finding a piece of metal fractiona...

That could do with a restoration! It looks like it's a relatively early Mamod bash. I probably have something wrong with me as I quite like it   I don't think it looks like £200 pounds worth though! Maybe £120 or thereabouts.

These books have already been mentioned but I just wanted to add my recommendation - they are both excellent and contain a great deal of information and superb photographs.

Very nice and what looks like very rare early Mamod/MMS body work as shown by the combination of the Mamod Steam Railway belt /buckle border around the MSS logo which originally stood for Mamod Sales and Service. Here is a picture from Mamodevons Photobucket (Alan Dunster) entitled "The Missing...

That runs at a nice pace. Is that just down to the R/C regulator? The loco runs really well and is certainly much easier to control with the remote operation of the forward & reverse valve. For running on a level track you can set the transmitter control and pretty much leave the loco to run ar...

Cheers I look forward to the video and I do like the trailing wheels , I take it they were fitted by Merlin ? Hi Joe - Steve posted this info earlier in the thread: These were made from part finished Beck Anna G scale loco or later models left over parts. The 32mm versions have the frames moved in ...

Thanks Brian! I think I will have to take a picture of the Merlin next to my Ragleth for a comparison shot.

I also have one of these but as an 0-4-0, quite powerful little things although sadly mine does have a tenancy to wobble around a lot although no frame erosion is present. I dont think theres a lot i can do though due to the wheels being fixed on the axles. Also the water gauge on these locos is a ...

./myff/1979582/DSCF3012.jpg I can see now the modification done to the square hole in the cab back sheet on my engine so as to accommodate what I think is a Roundhouse poker burner. I've been meaning to check myself but do you think the windows are Mamod items? The spectacle rings are smaller diameter than Mamod ones. I was lucky to find one that was very close to the size of the other 3 to replace the one that was missing. At some point someone had hacked away at the rear cab...
