Anyone have the Marc Horowitz book? Realistically I'm not going to have a garden railway as we will be renting for the next many years. Therefore my interest is mainly in locos and rolling stock.

Why not give Roundshouse a call? I'm sure they'll take a look at it.

On raised track I'm indifferent but on ground level I do like R/C as I don't have to bend over to make adjustments. A lifelong bad back is not getting better with age (I'm 42 so not totally decrepit yet).

I must say John's service is great. PPS also do next day so that's another dealer I can recommend.

With the aid of Auto Tune. They sounded awful at Superbowl, especially Fergie.

I'll take Gladys Knight any day ;)

The bad reviews were from one of the "grumpy" egroups I take it? I'm planning on buying it along with the Marc Horowitz book. Always nice with a bit of inspiration.

The only music I don't like listening to is modern so called R'n'B. Other than that I span everything from Jazz to Dance to Heavy Metal. I've got a heck of a lot of 80's Danish pop music in my collection.

I actually prefer Thin Lizzy live over studio recorded. Same with the Rolling Stones. I don't like their studio albums at all but some of their live ones are really good.

It's hard to choose but I think "Renegade" is my favorite on "Life Live".

I have several of his solo albums and I'm a huge Thin Lizzy fan. In fact "Life Live" may just be my most played CD. Too young an age to check out. RIP Gary Moore.

Developed railway there or not, I can't stand it when people just think they can ride roughshod over you   It seems to happen too much these days! Probably learned it from the Government, both the old one and the current one. Just look at how they treat small businesses. Some friends of ours ...

I do want this one to be R/C - it's just that I have a lot of R/C equipment already. I used to own a part time business called Indoor Flyer. I no longer own it but still have some involvement.

It is maroon. Not my first choice but that's what was available. I may do a repaint anyway at some point. Not a big fan of shine smoke boxes.

We are in the middle of a house move and most of my workshop is packed away in boxes. Unfortunately I have no idea when I can start production. We move up to Luton this week, then I'm off to Germany end of the month. The first apartment I picked did not become available so I had to take what I could...

Oh, sorry. Though I had already said what it was. It is a Fowler. I've wanted one of those since I first set eyes on one years ago :D

I really like the colonial style cab.

I ended up with a R/C version as that was what was in stock. I guess I can always flog the TX and RX on Ebay to get a bit of money back. Maybe only R/C is in stock because the manual ones sell out quickly?

Answering machine on at Brandbright so sent them an email. Also emailed Roundhouse. Trackshack have a Fowler in stock but the is R/C.

I was just wondering if most people prefer to buy their locos with R/C fitted these days?

A slight annoyance

It seems that most dealers only stock R/C versions of Roundhouse locos. I've got R/C equipment coming out of you-know-where as I've been in the the R/C trade. I don't want to fork out money for equipment I already have. I've sold all my vehicles now and decided I need some retail therapy to cope wit...
