Re: Railbus for the PMR

Not wishing to denigate your skills Jim, but those look very nice but horribly complicated curves to duplicate and keep even. It would be a cryin shame to end up spoiling what you've already achieved. I'd say the KISS princple applies here (Keep It Simple S.....)

Only real problem with that is the presenter, I can't stand Dick Strawbridge, in fact I'd rather have Julie Walters!
Mind you, the programe concept sounds a wee bit pointess as well.

Excellent Jim.

Just a thought, they might look better if the body mouldings were cotinued across the door? Possibly just the lower one?

Re: Railbus for the PMR

Primer does show up a lot of dodgy detail that you didn't realise was there so it remains to be seen if it's worth it, but with that proviso I say keep the louvres.

Here is Severn Models working tool-kits and tools. They specialise is etch-brass models for smaller scales, but do two etches for 1:19. A opening cantilever toolkit and a selection of many tools. They are great detail. Thanks for this. I'd not come across them before and I've just looked them up, n...

Re: New Archangel Loco Works website

Those that moan about prices should have a go and build one! Yes, you are absolutely right, but that doesn't take away the basic problem of...the price. It isn't aboout the quality of the build, the technical excellence, etc, I think that most people would agree that the Archangel stuff is probably...

That is a good idea. Not only does it give the wood a bit of protection but it also looks more like ballast than wood does, and if you do add proper ballast you have a rough surface for it to stick to.

I like it Dwayne, very impressive cave!

The only trouble I have with tidying up the heap of junk I laughingly call my workbench, is that afterwards I can never find things.

Looks good Jim, more or less exatly how I would have done it.

Interestng that you've gone for a single door instead of the original two. Presumably thats because it looks more in scale?

They have whatever you want to put on it. Its your loco, your railway, you say what goes.
Hwever if it was mine I'd probably have the name or initials of the railway on the tende,r and the loco's fleet number on the cabside.
Nice model btw.
