Re: IP Engineering Rail Bus
Already discussed this a while ago with my hosting service, and £45:00 is the cheapest they do.

Re: IP Engineering Rail Bus
I have investigated an SSL Certificate, and the cheapest available to me is £45:00/year, an additional expense I am not willing to pay out for on a blog.

Re: IP Engineering Rail Bus
It seems to be browser related. Chrome won't load the images whereas Firefox does. I've tried to see if there's a way of changing the settings in Chrome to allow mixed content but it doesn't seem to be there in the latest version of Android Chrome. No problem with Windows Firefox or with Android Fi...

Re: IP Engineering Rail Bus
Jimmy, The other alternative is to use a free hosting site with the necessary certification, such as Postimages .org as outlined in our "How To.." section. https://gardenrails.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=13243 Philp, many thanks, however after editing and posting once, that is enou...

Re: IP Engineering Rail Bus
I am enjoying following along with this build - the interior panelling looks superb. Thanks for the feedback, seems odd that some can see the images and some can't, as the page is public viewing on my blog I would have though they would be available. I will check my settings. Without wishing to get...

Re: Servo Controlled Points
Greg, I don't understand the full mechanics of the loop, but my understanding is: 1) it takes the shock out of solenoid activated points 2) where the solenoid throw is greater than the point throw, it prevents shunting the track 3) having a "slight" spring tension on the point rail helps h...

Re: Servo Controlled Points
The problem with omega loops, is in the garden, they rust quite quickly.. I have wondered if link, possibly with the pins included, could be 3D printed, and include an omega loop in the print? I guess the choice of filament material, would be key to this being possible? Phil.P I always used brass o...

Re: Servo Controlled Points
watching this with interest, though one point (no pun intended) when I had solenoid operated points in smaller gauges we use to use omega loops to prevent damage, as it would take up any over/under throw, have you considered this. If this has already been discussed and I have missed please give me a...

Re: IP Engineering Rail Bus
Very little has happened lately with the railbus, the body and chassis built as per the instructions, and now I am looking to make it my own. Update on the motor front, I bought one the the "Chinese" 6 - 12 volt motors, and when applying power to the original motor and new motor 2.4 volts ...

Re: Interpreting a manufacturer's drawing
Rik, having difficulty working out exactly which dimension you are talking about, and though I am an engineer, I am not fully conversant with all locomotive part names. However could the issue be in the end elevation the arm length is at an angle, but when viewed in the plan the length does not show...

David, many thanks for the infoRiver Lin wrote: ↑Tue Feb 23, 2021 11:19 pm Hi Jimmy.
The table tilts about 20° up or down.
There are a few different models available and they may be different in this respect. If you decide to buy also be aware that some models come with only one belt and no power pack.
David.

went and had a look at this linisher, quite nice, however it doesn't mention if the table tilts to sand at angles, of this is achieved by angles on the bench, please can you advise, many thanks.
