12BA lock nut - Atropos Garden Railway Equipment

I have started building a Penrhyn Quarry Rubbish Wagon from Atropos Garden Railway Equipment. Unfortunately I have lost one of the 12BA lock nut and it’s too small to find somewhere on the floor under my workbench. :? Does anyone have an e-mail-address to Atropos Garden Railway Equipment. So I can s...

I like that a lot. :D

The frame and rimes needs som rusty enamel colors mixed with powder colors.
The tires and sides of the car will look better with some mud. Try to apply mud acrylic colors mixed with plaster.

Then the pig would feel much more comfy ...

The bike was bought in a dollhouse-shop in Leeds. Too much fancy small details to make this by myselves ... ;)

Re: The Pine Hill Railway (PHRy) - a Norwegian Garden Railway

The I P kit is lasercut plywood. Very nice and accurate fit. The teak-/mahogany-look is a wood-stain lacquer in 3 layers. Norwegian coaches where often made with teak-panels on a pine framework. So this is definitely a Norwegian coach. :D As you may see - it’s modified from 7 comp to 5 comp due to s...

Re: The Pine Hill Railway (PHRy) - a Norwegian Garden Railway

A new coach coming from the workbench. Though it's still winter, I think summer will appear this year too - but I'm not sure. :) This time the Pine Hill Railway gets a Vale of Rheidol Matchboard Summer Bogie Coach from I P Engineering. As you may have noted, the coach is shorter than the origin. Du...

Re: The Pine Hill Railway (PHRy) - a Norwegian Garden Railway

This is the way of weathering ... The Land Rover comes very shiny out of the box. Masking the windows on both sides. Spray clear matt acrylic lacquer on the body. Rubbertires need to be cleaned with whitesprite more of this later. The matt finish is done with light grey and silver Tamya acrylic pain...

Re: The Pine Hill Railway (PHRy) - a Norwegian Garden Railway

That Landrover weathering is beautifully done and the vehicle is RHD too, is that how it was supplied? If so what make is it? The model is from Minichamps.de. Diecast metal. A very nice model. The origin is the 1948-model with 50 HP 1,595ccm engine, made for agricultural sector. The inspiration for...

Re: The Pine Hill Railway (PHRy) - a Norwegian Garden Railway

It's a winterstorm here in Norway today. Then it's nice and warm to sit by the workbench and make something different than trains. A heavy weathered Land Rover scale-model (1:18). I think it will fit perfectly in a trackside scene when spring comes in the garden. https://www.dropbox.com/s/u0c2qhbsx8...

Re: Buffer Centre Height - German 750mm Guage lines

Interesting issue ...
I think the coupling hight is about 750mm also on those 750mm «schmalspurbahnen» in Germany. But it is hard to find drawings with the coupling hight. Look for Rasender Roland and Öchslebahn, but non of them have good drawings of their engines - only pics.

Thanks for all nice feedbacks.
The corrugated iron are actually tinplates from tincanes cut in pieces with a metal scissors. Drilled some 0,6 mm holes and nailed them to the framework with small metal nails. The roof is grey painted plasticsheets from Plastruct.

invicta280 wrote: Wed Dec 06, 2017 5:56 pm I really like the purple colour of your coaches. What paint did you use? They look very smart.
The colour is near «Victorian Maroon», bought in a housepaint shop (solvent-based paint).
I think the colour is very much like the coaches at the Brandbright web-site.

Hello again ... It's a long time since I have posted any news from my garden railway - due to work and other activities. Since my pictures at dropbox can't be seen here anymore, I will have to reload all the pics in this tread. This will take some time - but they will be here in some time. Here are...

Pics of Brandbright PS22 Director's Saloon

I have the PS22-kit of the Brandbright Director's Saloon, but I have not yet start building it.

Anyone who have the interior pics of the Brandbright Director's Saloon coach? The kit is not yet available from Brandbright.

Maybe someone have their own pics of the coach who want to share them here too.

Have a look at the Deltang transmitters and receivers. You may like to build your own Deltang transmitter. The receicers have an integrated ESC. And they are very small.

I also have wondered about bits and parts from PPS. When I started with garden railway 5 years ago, I did find some nice headlamps from PPS, that fits perfect to my RH Billy. https://www.dropbox.com/s/0fxu4kak0yr9f7j/Headlamp-1%20450.jpg?raw=1 https://www.dropbox.com/s/bxadf9jrx6l40xa/Headlamp-2%204...
