Re: Newqidas on the Block

Slightly highjacking - is it possible to fit chopper couplings to the Newqida coaches?

Figures

My brother-in-law commented the other day "it's interesting that the detail of model railway figures gets better and better the larger the scale, until you get to 16mm when they become almost caricature-ish" which got me thinking - where are the high detail model figures out there for 16mm?

Re: Trams

I've seen these Occre trams before, apparently they're an absolute pig to build! Not sure how to get overhead power in but might be a good place to start

Trams

I've been considering dabbling in trams, powered by overhead electrics. Anyone else done this and suggest a good way in?

Thanks

A Way In

Hi Folks, There is a strong chance I may be abandoning the hobby for a while as I'm drifting towards bigger trains (I've been offered a 7 1/4" deal that I don't think I can refuse). Exploring ways of keeping my fingers firmly in the pie as it were, I started to think and reflect on the best way...

Jim, terrific as ever. Have been after an IP Simplex for a while but my complete inability to do battery and r/c fitting renders that a long way off

Re: HGLW Empire Coach

That's perfect thanks!

Does the profile of the coach look "right" behind a Ragleth - looked pretty good to be from that photo

Thanks

Accucraft Baguley Sound

Hello Folks,

Are there any companies our there that do sound fitting for Accucraft Baguleys? My current one has a very very basic sound card in and I'd like to make it a bit more exciting.

Thanks

Criccieth Castle vs Accucraft Baugley

Hello Folks,

I'm looking at a good quality, viable diesel locomotive for my future railway. I currently have an Accucraft Baugley but I must admit I'm not completely happy with it. I'm looking at Roundhouse's Criccieth Castle instead - what are these like? Any available out there?

Thanks

Chris

I have just looked at the Chesterton windmill site and the real thing is 36ft high so that puts the 24 inch model at 1 in 18.

Cheers

Dave
Ah thanks Dave! That's within an acceptable allowance!

Ah yes, the 24 inch one is the bigger one. Is it "roughly" scale or miles out?

Re: Liveries

I seem to have a bit of a corporate livery. It just happened for some strange reason. Most of my coaching stock is dark green with black roofs and framing detail. Most wagons are red oxide and black. Diesel locos are dark blue with wasp stripes. None of the steamers are the same but I do have a lik...

Liveries

Hello Folks, I was wondering if you'd be willing to share examples of your coach and locomotive liveries, if you're line has a "corporate" colour scheme as it were. I'm thinking of going Oxford blue for my locomotives and not sure what coach livery would work with that - some examples of w...
