Re: New Archangel Loco Works website

I would love to have an archangel for old times sake, and as said they are so much more mechanically interesting, but the prices are way out of reach of the common man (not that this isn't true of roundhouse etc)

Re: New Roundhouse

Going by the last couple of releases I think we can safely say its not going to be a freelance loco, they seem to have gone as far as they can go with those, except maybe for a modernised Dylan

I always loved watching model town as a child, there was something about the laid back modelling atmosphere, not to mention our own Peter Butler

Re: An interesting find

Exquisite, at a scale of 1 1/16" to the foot, does that make it 7 1/4" gauge? I adore broad gauge and this loco perfectly exemplifies why :thumbleft:

If this isn't inspirational I don't know what is, little wonder pulling 129 wagons, a total weight of about 210 tons

I've been known to use solidworks in the past, it's quite a good program though I've not used much else to compare it to

Hi Steve and welcome to the forum
Have you noticed on the kit there are four rivets on the bottom and six on the top (of each side panel) but this is the other way around on the prototype photo, must be a variation

Re: Locoworks George England

I wonder how much a set of driving wheels and cylinders would come to if one were so inclined as to build a small England as running in the 1860s (as a side tank)
