Hi all.
Does anyone have, or know where I can get, dimensions of the above van. I would like at add one to my scratch built FR/NWNG stock. I can find plenty of photos but would like to built it to an accurate scale if i can.

I haven't been able to try the system outside yet but for £39 in total it is worth giving it a go.
The loco kit only cost £81 including motor and gearbox so I have a radio controlled loco for £120 + a little work and paint (which I had anyway)

Hi Philip.
The 12v motor and reducing gearbox is supplied with the kit and is mounted horizontally between the frames. The power is from (at present) a pp3 battery in the boiler and the RC and switch is in the water tank. I will try and post a vid on YouTube over the weekend.

I agree with Phil. I have the same nut spinners. Invaluable in being able to turn a nut/bolt from the front if space at the side is limited. Obviously not as much leverage available as a spanner but more than enough for our model locos I feel.

Hi Tim et al. Got my plasticard gunpowder van body up to first primer stage. My first inclination is to now fill any gaps and sand smooth. But, would it be more prototypical to leave gaps as it wasn't a welded body as surely gaps would have been present between the riveted panels and strength bands....

Spent my Peterborough show money on a rivet press from Midland Railway Centre. Fantastic piece of kit. It produces excellent rivet detail and all equal size.
