Re: That Car I Keep Alluding To
A truly incredible story of ambition and dedication. You can't begin to imagine how impressed I am with what you have achieved. I have read every word of your journey and, despite not understanding car mechanics, have thoroughly enjoyed every moment. I'm envious of the F-100 Pick-up model truck too.

Re: Time to build a railway...but where?
Model T's make into great rail conversions. If I had one it wouldn't last long!

Re: Time to build a railway...but where?
Continuing with the build, I found a motor with attached gearbox in my 'useful' collection and, to my delight, the axle fitted the second set of wheels.... 100_0765.JPG More modification (AKA destruction) of the underside soon followed in order to sink the motor inside the body shell. Fortunately, t...

Re: Time to build a railway...but where?
Thanks for the link Graeme, I thought I had recollection of something similar but expected it to have been in model form. Perhaps it has been done somewhere?

Re: Time to build a railway...but where?
Constantly thinking about what to do next my eyes gazed upon an item which I have shown in the past. This is something I decided not to modify, but time has a habit of changing things and so I set about it as my latest project.... IMG_3128.JPG It is the VW camper van, which I have seen real-life pho...

Re: Time to build a railway...but where?
For various reasons (excuses) I have been unable to give you the final images of the Kerr Stuart built, Hunslet overhauled loco, which now runs as Edward Thomas on the Talyllyn Railway. The Boot Lane Works kit enables the builder to choose which version to make as parts are included for both. As pre...

Re: Time to build a railway...but where?
Phew!!! camera returned and tested, everything seems to be back in order. So, now for something different: A friend mentioned a new(ish) model railway magazine he had recently purchased and that I was included in it. The title is, 'Let's Go Railway Modelling' and is a Peco publication dated 2023. No...

Re: Semi-scale BR: The Modernisation Plan
Wilko's will be missed for such trivial items as rattle cans but I get my Hycote satin black from 'The Range' for a reasonable price. They stock primers, lacquers and limited paint colours. There is a list on-line of locations for all 180 branches nationwide.
