A bit early I know.

Take care.

Tony.
Very detailed work, thanks for sharing. It's true around this time of the year I always want to do something with my railway, so it's not early, it's just the right mood for the work.

Re: Trouble with steam engine-need help

To me, it simply sounds like the gauge doesn't work, I had an Accucraft loco do this, I simply got it replaced, you can try cleaning it of course before spending money :thumbleft: Other than that, the safety valve works, that's good and you over filled it, lesson learnt. Even without the gauge it s...

Trouble with steam engine-need help

I think I might make a mistake while preparing to steam the Accucraft Mortimer this beautiful morning in Nashville. Basically, after filling the tank with water, I turned the engine upside down to lubricate the joints. Water might get into the connection leading to the pressure gauge as a consequenc...

Re: Connecting gears for servos

I had a Regner live steam locomotive in the past but I sold it. For somehow I started to get some interest in live steam again; probably, the approaching holidays always give me some good mood about garden trains. I just bought a second-hand Accucraft Mortimer on Ebay. And I also bought some servos...

Neon light

The weather is excellent in Nashville this weekend, but so much leaves around the garden this time of the year. I have to wait for them to fall completely before cleaning the tracks. Meanwhile, I prefer to work in my garage to assemble a new neon light on one of the buildings. https://www.youtube.co...

Re: Connecting gears for servos

I think you are going to have to make some of these parts. You should have received a set plastic cranks with each servo, as well as the screw to hold the crank to the servo. Then you will need to drill a hole in the regulator arm and reverser arm. Exactly where may take some experimenting. and mor...

On a nice day, it's enjoyable to lie down on the ground and aim the camera mounted on a tiny tripod at the right angle to capture the scenes.

Re: Upgraded movie

I really like your miniature trees. They look spot on for scale! The clickety clack of the stock on the lower track is really good. Have you filed extra wide track joints? An interesting collection of added sound effects, though I think the farmer should take that duck to the vet - definitely eaten...

riding on a train

I made this movie last weekend. It's from an FPV camera, and I stayed in my room controlling the system through the windows. I need to improve the quality, but it's realy fun for the first time to have such a movie.

Figures in the garden

Today the weather is very nice in Nashville. I got up early cleaning the garden and took some photos. This album focuses on the figures and their activity. I hope you enjoy it. Re: 12-14v remote control camera with a monitor

I agree with Peter. I think you will experience all kinds of problems using track power. I tried it in the garden for six years before abandoning it in favour of battery power and radio control. You would need to keep the track really clean for it to work reliably and the conditions below floor wou...

Re: 12-14v remote control camera with a monitor

Whilst I know nothing about camera systems I do have experience of running track powered locomotives in exhibition venues. These are usually clean, dry and accessible spaces, unlike your crawl-in basement, where you are almost certainly likely to get dirty and possibly damp track.... no good at all...

12-14v remote control camera with a monitor

Recently, I went to my crawl-in basement and found out a huge water leakage from the bathtub over the years that resulted in severe wood foundation damage. Again, this is a crawl-in basement so I didn't go there for 10 years now. After fixing this issue, I plan to set up a railway down there with a ...

Re: Haruka garden railway in Spring

Good to hear from you again. I like the first picture, reminds me of an English village at dusk. Thanks, yes, it was a very busy time in my career in the past 2 years, I did run some trains but very limited time to add any extra thing in the garden. I have some time recently due to the Covid-19 loc...
