Err, don't think its job done though Andrew.Soar Valley Light wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 6:38 pm
That's better than a good start - it's pretty much job done! Thanks for putting in all that effort.
There are no contact details and most of the entries are duplicated and require editing, plus I think some do no longer exist.

Re: List of Suppliers
Philip, I don't have access to the Suppliers board. when I click on it it tells me I don't have permission to view or post, am I doing something wrong? It's the obvious place for a list as you suggest. Andrew, I'm not sure what the problem is tbh. I believe that board was locked, but Rik said on an...

That is looking very good Trevor.
I assume the tender body is printed as 3 separate sides with the insides flat on the bed? The external surface finish looks excellent from what I can see.

Re: List of Suppliers
Creating a table of some sort which could be added to, updated or amended as manufacturers come and go would be my first thought but I've no idea how to achieve that on here, or even if it's possible. I'm sure others will have a much better idea. No doubt it will need someone to co-ordinate it all ...

Re: Lyn >> Schull & Skibbereen Erin(ish)
I take it you have all the parts for printing and are not intending to print it as one? Oh yes. All parts exist separately, disassembled and oriented for printing. I thought I'd design the loco this way. Normally, I do each part separately and end up having to figure out the dimensions. Well if thi...

Re: Peckforton Light Railway - Video Library
It occurs to me that there may be a suitable size commercial moulding available that could be used to form the tank side profile, then fix it to a ply frame and skin it with thin polystyrene sheet. If you, or a mate, have a router table, it may be easier to just make a piece of custom moulding. Loo...

Interesting Peter, thanks.
What are they made of?
In design terms they look reminiscent of Festiniog couplings, although I'm no expert.

Re: Southwold stock
Andrew, Thanks for enlightening us all on the subject of trains and taillamps! None of us are about to get a visit from the 'Man from the Min' - although watch out for Inspector Isles (where has he got to by the way?). Well actually Mr Isles went missing in action several years ago and after an exha...

Re: Southwold stock
I always think of an engine running light as a "light loco"... therefore it's a 'loco' as far as I'm concerned. Of course, in this day and age of ubiquitous multiple unit passenger trains, diesel or electric, the concept of a separate engine and train is pretty odd to anyone less than abou...
