Yes they will work with Accucraft choppers as I asked them a while back, however, cannot justify the price!

Hi Andrew,

Gluing couplers when required is not a problem if you use something strong like Zap-A-Gap.

I have used this on a few wagons with Accucraft choppers and they cope even with weighted loads over 1kg.

I also thought if you have a dyson duck tape a smaller nozzle to the hose and suck the pipe out?

Do not fire the loco. Fish it out with wire as suggested. Can the safety valve be removed to give you an extra drainage hole?

If you must use Peco set track curves go for the new 3ft curves.

0-4-0 locos will go round 2ft ok but I would say 3ft min for 0-6-0 and R/C is a must unless you can have large radius curves (4ft and above).

Download AnyRail software for free and you either build or print out 1:1 templates of Peco SM32 track.

Has anyone tried Humbrol enamel Matt black now that it is being produced in the UK again? Has it stopped drying with a gloss look and does it flow/cover ok?

I am not getting on with the Revell Matt black despite mixing it with a drill. You can't seem to get a nice finish with it.

Brilliant Peter, glad you are happy with the running of it.

I found the worm drive on the chassis ran much smoother and better at slower speeds than a bevel gear version.

Thanks Kjell and Matt, will have a look around town an on flee bay. Weight wise the bogies are white metal with metal wheels, however, I will be adding extra weight underneath so that they can run without a load if required although I do like my locos to work hard so tend to weight wagons down :twis...

I am a bit of real world materials snob when it comes to our garden railways, however, you are certainly proving Plastikard can look the part!

I know nothing about this stuff so what thickness/type are you using and where to buy?

RWLR bogie flat wagons

Santa brought me a pair of bogies for Christmas and as I wanted to building something quick I decided on a flat wagon: /myff/tom_tom_go/DSCN1391_zps5a230b2f.jpg /myff/tom_tom_go/DSCN1390_zps38693908.jpg /myff/tom_tom_go/DSCN1388_zpsdddc5bcf.jpg /myff/tom_tom_go/DSCN1394_zps7a9786ce.jpg /myff/tom_tom...

The picture I have is of a revolving bunker type (you can see the difference in the back of the loco to a straight sided type).

Yes it is a colour photo.

They were not successful as well because the LMS engineers decided on using standard parts not meant for such articulated locos, doh.
