Re: Semi-scale BR: The Modernisation Plan

Thanks for the encouragement — and stuff.

The lengthened, narrow(er) gauge Leader: a bit scruffy now, obviously, but it’s coming along. Will I have to re-landscape the garden to accommodate it? (Or move?)

Leader_2650_800_1.jpg It’s coming out of the workshop significantly longer than it went in Return of the Leader A rather semi-scale, ‘informed by the Bulleid Leader’ effort, from a few years ago, has reached the top of the ‘tidy up and equip with battery-power and radio control’ queue, at last. Re: Peckforton Light Railway - Video Library

Lots of nicely composed and neatly handled shots, as always, especially all those with no glimpse of the real world looming in the background (I do appreciate how difficult it can be to avoid it). Set-dressing with all that ‘snow’ is extraordinarily convincing… 0-6-0 Harthill is very pleasing too. S...

Re: Semi-scale BR: The Modernisation Plan

Thanks Rod. Same here. It all works fine on all my Mac / iOS browsers (though there was a time when Chrome and Firefox would have you pulling your hair out). Different browsers on different OS render differently and things can change whenever there’s an update. I’m afraid the Windows and Android kit...

Very neat — and the video too. The ‘cheesy’ music is cool. “…boarded the 2:15 to Dinas Junction. Can ‘Russell’ outrun Rover?” But, after a tense journey, fraught with suspicion of seemingly harmless other passengers, he’ll find the train will have mysteriously terminated at a previously unknown stat...

Re: Semi-scale BR: The Modernisation Plan

33_runs_7.gif It goes! I’ve stuck a couple of large lead ingots over the bogies — and it runs pleasingly smoothly. It was time to finish wiring up the 33 and give it a go. Switching it on and fiddling with LocoRemote, you can imagine my surprise when the front, directional lighting glowed bright re...

Re: Semi-scale BR: the fantasy, Southern Region branch, again

“…to both build items of rolling stock and remember to take pictures…” Thanks. It’s useful to have taken snaps, I find, when you go back a few years later, to repeat, repair or modify — and you can’t remember what you did (especially electricals, which I’m clueless about). They fill up web pages to...
