Re: Cats and Dogs Railway (austrian narrow gauge)

...but the shots of the trains going over the bridges terrify me! Has anything ever fallen in?!.. Andrew. Thanks Andrew, No, nothing has fallen in yet. The curves are not that sharp and have a slight angle inwards. I had a derailment once on the back of the layout on the sharp R1 curve where the la...

Re: Cats and Dogs Railway (austrian narrow gauge)

No inertia wagon yet, but a small goods service train with some coaches for the locals today. Along the flatcar with tractor, I also made a wagon with firewood and an open gravel wagon. The firewood wagon is filled up with 2 blocks of wood with a lot of split branches glued on top of it. In Switserl...

Re: RWLR - Robin Wood Light Railway

I do feel my railway lacks atmosphere though. Next garden things will be different... No it doesn't. It does lack depth a bit in your picture. You could hide the white wall by painting it sky blue or placing facades of buildings in front of them. That would be a difference in appeal on a picture. B...

Re: Tractor on the run..

Thanks guys, the tractor however was already weathered, that's why I bought it in the first place, it looked very nice. @Peter, I do like your model too, very neat with the chains and wheelblocks. Also a nice tractormodel. May be a whole train of tractors and machinery on flatcars would be a nice se...

Tractor on the run..

My little alpine railway is also in use for the local farmers, who transport all kind of things to the more difficult to reach area's. On this occasion an old Hanomag tractor is on travel to one of the small farmer villages on the Schwägalp. It is not capable of climbing the pass via the autoroute, ...

Re: Small balcony garden railway

Bonsais grow in any size. You are the one deciding the scale and height of the bonsai. My neighbour is a bonsai gardner and has a lot of very nice bonsai trees in his garden. Some are tiny, some are over a metre in height. I have a few bonsai trees in my garden railway, they need trimming a few time...

She looks a lot more grown-up with the extra valvegear rods and the cab. Nice locomotive!

Re: Small balcony garden railway

Very good idea of the plants in the pots. This way you can have your garden with real life plants and still be on a balcony. May be you can get Bonsai trees to go with them? I once had an uncle, growing a small size forrest on half an square meter on a balcony in Switserland, but he didn't have room...

Re: Regner project

After a lot of hassle with the Regner gas filling valve, I build a Romson type valve in it today. I had one left from a small gastorch. I can't figure out why the Regner doesn't work, thought I figured it out the last time, but it was only for a lucky few shots.. Ìnstead of a meager 15 minutes runnin...

Re: Cats and Dogs Railway (austrian narrow gauge)

Today was the big tryout of all the other locomotives on the layout. I had a batteryproblem on the small red diesel, it wasn't charging due to a faulty charger, so that one only plays a very small part in the clip. The rest of the locomotives + departure and arrival at the station, turning by turnta...
