Was thinking of laying felt over the wood as well as I have half a roll of felt left over from re doing my shed roof,someone else said felt it as the wood would also last a bit longer..I have to relay the track anyway as I am adding in a point at 1 section and as the track isnt fully screwed down it...

the double track would be on seperate planks so should be ok..but was thinking of 3 boards width when i do it so should be plenty even for 7/8 scale..

Had it running first of all on my railway(well the short bit laid so far (see in layout section for progress) the railbus now has 2.4ghz radio control and the unpowered bogie has now been set further under the body to match the powered bogie so it looks a bit more even.. After I checked it worked the wheel which is unpowered on driving bogie is just clipped in place and I moved it closer to the powered one so it looks better.. This 1 arrived today(bearing in mind i work nights i still got up to unwrap the parcel(like a big kid)) popped some batteries in it and away it went round a circle of track.. I plan to cut away the battery box and fit a 4X1.5 AA battery box which gives me the 6v for 2.4rc... I hope to fit the rc and...

cable car that was what i meant.. anyway mine is a manual version but inside the handle bit as the fittings for a motor and gearbox and battery box all with battery logo inside it...my plan was just loop the cable over a few bits of something in the garden all year round and make a building/station ...

Thats a good idea with the uprights using square drain pipe at least it wont rot.. might have to look at sofet boards as well as I was planning on using decking planks but plastic sofet is simlar price..

Won a faller railcar on ebay £25.25.. looks to be missing the horns and a few internar handrails and add says no driver or drivers seat(all no problem as it will be having my own driver.. and will eventually be repainted(well the bit above the stripe line will be painted) and the intercity bit remov...

Once it arrives it will be steamed,I work nights weekdays and even then I will get up and give it a try even if its dark outside before work it will be given a quick try to show my little boy..

I mentioned the roy woods one as it would of hopefully been better than the mamod brunel which i have already seen and wasnt really that happy with the flywheel arrangement compared to RW dewinton which is a twin piston type and self starting..I would be getting one with chuffer and the wood claddin...
