Hi Dave, thanks for posting the pictures. I've never seen an Aster close up before and certianly not stripped down like that. Very interesting.

Well my little back yard is very sheltered but as you can see from the video it was windy enough to actually move the tripod that the camera was on.
The Aerocar didn't seem to be bothered at all, obviously in it's element :)

That looks fantastic - congratulations! I saw the original at work once or twice - you've really captured the feel of it. Alas, I have no photos... I'm sure you'll film it in action in due course - I look forward to watching! Andrew. Thanks for the comments Andrew. I'm not too unhappy with it mysel...

Very good. I was the former owner of the railcar but sold it to a friend. Do you have any photos of the original? I've searched on the internet but with little success. I have made a few cosmetic tweaks since that last picture was taken. This is how it is now. http://www.alspcs.com/Aerocar33w.jpg

Hi Jim,

I've been using Mozilla's Thunderbird for years, it's free and works very well for me.
Three of my email accounts are POP3 and they work fine, it's also fairly easy to set up.

Here's the link,

I agree with Tony. Apart from the Basic Series all Roundhouse steam locos are well over £1000 new.
The closest to Jack is probably Katie and thats £1200 new. So £500 seems like a good deal to me.

Oh, here is a picture of the original Gordon Diplock Aero-Railcar. I didn't set out to make an exact duplicate just to make something similar.

Well it's more or less finished, still playing around with propellers and i need an nice chrome headlight for the roof. I might add some side rails to hide the bogies too.

Thanks but as i've said before most of the credit should go to Phil, his little kits are excellent. :)

Ok, here's the completed flat wagon. Just need to make a suitable load for it now.

Just in case anyone is wondering, the side lugs and tie down rings are not currently part of the kit.

I don't suppose it matters which way you do it Brian. I built the chassis first and put the verticals in afterwards. With my Coal Wagons i found that aligning the rivet detail on the verticals with the centre of the planks meant that the verticals didn't reach the bottom layer. I also had 8 to do an...

Flat Wagon

It would appear that i'm becomming a Phil Sharples Kit Junkie! Oh well i suppose there are worse things to be addicted to :) This is his basic Flat Wagon Kit. Fortunately the chassis parts are similar in dimensions to his Coal Wagon Kit and fitted into the jig i built for that wagon nicely. The full...

Now THAT'S what I CALL a train! One thing you hve to watch: when you insert the axleboxes into the slots on the lowest layer of the underframe, make sure they are fully pushed home - VERY important with superglue! one of mine wasn't (and only showed up on the photograph) but it does run OK. Yes, it...

Managed a quick run this evening with my Regner Vincent and Phil Sharples wagons. There is something not quite right with the last tipper, it has a definite squeak from one of the axles and it's not running as smoothly as the other wagons. Otherwise the rake runs very well. :) <object width="64...

Thanks Brian. I think most of the credit has to go to Phil though. His kits are very easy to put together and produce great little wagons.
