Thank you very much indeed for the kind words. The field/paddoc is a piece of door mat (its still there although it now look less like a doormat). I am afraid to say the railway has got to this stage mainly through neglect - I've done very little on it this past year. I did make sure to clear off ev...

I popped back the other weekend at a time I've not been at home for 4 years for. It was lovely to see the autumn collours in the garden. The cherry and the acer look ...

Sadly I can't do 5" gauge in our garden or any garden at the moment but the second I move into a house with a proper sized garden I should have a pretty good set up! Carriage all done (except for couplings and lining) Lots of pictures https://c3.staticflickr.com/9/8422/29279648042_1f5b3ec81e_z....

It is all good fun! I must say I do wish I had space for a 5" gauge garden railway - one day! Basset Lowke carriage progressing: Varnished mock up to see how the seats feel - also all the holes have been drilled (SOO many holes!) https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8013/29238024752_97ebb17b71_z.jpg T...

That is where they are going to go JC! The footwell, I hope, will only ever contain feet, I just accidentally forgot to take the bogies away for the photo.

I took River Butley to the Peckforton Light Railway last Friday with the Momentum Van to really test it. Steep gradients, a long run and sweeping curves. I really had fun driving the line with more gas and regulator going up the hill and barely a whisper of either coming down as you can see in Rik's...

I also need to grind down the ends so they are rounded.

We've been rather busy down at Snape Street Works. River Deben is nearly all fitted up now with the nessesary equipment. I think its worked out reasonably neat considering the very large amount of pipework necessary! She is due for a stratford works overhaul and will, at some point, be receiving ful...
