Re: (WH)WHR Rolling Stock

My 23 has the opposite problem; tips over everything in front of it (annoyingly including the Toastrack). As promised, pictures of some of the freight wagons: IMG_20190629_200750_resize_43~2.jpg IMG_20190629_200742_resize_48~2.jpg Yes Beddgelert has arrived! The overhang is incredible, no bogie carr...

FR locomotive red code

Hi all,

Looking for a reference to the FR locomotive "Indian red" livery as carried by Taliesin and Merddin Emerys currently. Does any FR buffs have any close match codes?

Re: (WH)WHR Rolling Stock

Looking great Andrew.
I promise to do a historic NWNGR/WHR photoshoot tomorrow for everyone on this forum!
What red are you using for the waggons? I'm using the light grey for some WHR wagons but I want to do some in the red as a difference.

Re: (WH)WHR Rolling Stock

So what's the green used on the Colonel Stephens livery? Nobody seems to know what the actual colour is used on the Ffestiniog railway today. John I'm using Humbrol 76 and 100 for the Col. Stephens livery. This seems to be roughly correct, the carriages seem to weather pretty quick in the Welsh Sun...

Re: (WH)WHR Rolling Stock

Having stock just sit in the morning sun is atmospheric in itself! They're currently sat there, might run an engine (Model Tryfan probably but Yeo could do with some more running in...) whilst I carry on with some wagonry; currently building a WHR bolster set and a NWNGR brake van! Both of these are...

Andrew (and anyone else) Two new additions to the WHR carriage fleet on the LVLR have been finished. Number 7 and 6 have the same dimensions. The balconies were roughly the same size for the two, so you could just mirror your drawing of van 6?

Re: (WH)WHR Rolling Stock

Looks awesome Andrew! Will be looking at doing the two plank wagons at some point. One thing we're working on at the moment is maintenance; some carriages are looking tired. Examples include the VoR carriages and the IP "big" Festiniog carriages. I'm thinking of repainting these out of the...

Re: Accucraft Yeo

I have a Yeo. A few points.... It does not hold a huge quantity of water so that needs some vigilance. When I fitted radio control the reversing lever was going ever so slowly past the “ stop” in forward which affected the performance until I discovered the problem. It had a tendency to slip which ...

FR carriage 113 interior

Thought this was the most relevant board to post on;
Does anyone on the FR have photographs of the refurbished interior of Carnforth carriage 113? I understand that the old 1st compartments are now guards/toilet compartments so I'm keen to get some photographs for a model.

Re: (WH)WHR Rolling Stock

No. 2 was believed to have started off as a "ridged-roof" wagon. These were used in passenger trains as a possible luggage van before the large Pickering's made an appearance. Both van 2 and 4 had doors on both sides, so don't forget the other door!

Re: Accucraft Yeo

My father does make engines, but definitely not as a trader. He's an aerospace engineer by trade and simply makes engines for fun! He doesn't do draws or anything like that.
My sole locomotive is the Moel Tryfan so that doesn't count!
