Re: In another beginning...

Great looking layout Phil, don’t think I would have the courage to lay it outside though, I have enough hassle running my N Gauge inside    Though my two young Grandsons are doing an excellent job with their 4x3 N Gauge layout, they both love working on it, the older one George more s...

One salient point is that more people can afford and justify the purchase of a £150 loco than a £2500 one.
Agree Jim, most loco’s again are out of the ordinary person’s reach with just one income coming in. It is just like the rest of the other gauges, far too expensive for most.

Re: Tram engine 'Ellie'

I would love to have a go at building a loco..but don’t have a lathe, surface grinder or a bench mounted drill....the CEO would go mad if i bought any of them :) :)

Must be a loco i could build without any of that stuff. :?:

Great video Rik, love the signalman rushing to change the signal, then the train taking twice as long to get to it...nice speed.

Thanks Derek, will just have to keep on looking and see what i can find and hopefully they are the correct scale, but if not i am not too bothered, i like the way garden modellers do their own thing and don’t care about all the rivet counters of other scale modellers.... :thumbright:
