Nice project St.Michael, Not sure if you know this link? It dosn't include your particular coach, but if you look to page 61 it may help with the curtains. No! not the absurd arrangement on model 3223, reminisent of an overdressed confection of the victorian era, but rather the rolled up curtains tu...

Re: Penrhyn Quarry Workers Coach

I'm really surprised that someone doesn't know how to stain wood and there is a special technique ...follow the grain ...and sometimes its just nice to engage with a fellow modler when they produce something they are proud of. In my small corner of the world the local newsagent gets in one copy of ...

Re: Penrhyn Quarry Workers Coach

I'm no expert on these matters but I think you have captured the look of these vehicles better than I have seen before.
Well done you!
Is that oak stain making it look so good? Did you have some technique on the staining or just luck?

Surprising how the absence of a ruler makes a drawing much easier to visualise in the flesh. Well done father.

If you get realy excited

Here is a great illustrated book from the Darg. Society.
Covers the Indian 0-4-0 0-4-0, (was this #2 ex works?)
Way too much detail, but maybe you can justify the purchase if you are a Garratt fan.

Festiniog & Blaenau Railway 3rd Class in 7/8n2

Hi Jonathan, I like this coach very much. Interesting use of 3 doors per side on a coach where they saved costs on glass! Maybe it was to get the tops of the wheels up into the body, under the seats? Here is some home movies that indicate they were red oxide in the 1940's.
Go to movie 2, colour starts about halfway through, then you just need to be patient. Not many movies for Darj freight workings.
