Thanks again Andrew, locos were despatched off to Rhos Helyg for R/C fitting, any other work, and repainting and lining, and I can't recommend Tony's work high enough. Further developments this morning included sorting out the realignment of the outer platform line to ease the connection back onto t...

Hi Jim! Thanks very much, Im getting there slowly. Like everything 'green and eco friendly ', the filcris stuff looks pricey, but if it works as it should, the real saving comes in not having to remove rotten timber, dig out and replace concrete footings, rip out and replace torn roofing felt etc an...

Greetings Peeps! Been a few weeks since Ive done anything to the railway but back in business these last couple of days and the next stage is underway, namely the raised 'filcris' section. The photos show progress so far, all achieved quite quickly really, the filcris is a joy to work with, hopefull...

Anyone building platforms?!!!

Greetings! Have a nosey at this link, marble mosaic floor tiles on ebay, reduced from £11.99 to £4.98! Each tile provides 64 2cm x 1 cm pieces which to my eyes, would make ideal platform edging stone. Theyre 1cm thick and everyone always has half a pot of tile adhesive tucked away somewhere, it woul...

Looking great Andrew!! Isnt it good when things start coming together all of a sudden!? I presume, with your obvious interest and knowledge of all things Pway, that when setting up curves, youll be setting each outside filcris rail slightly higher than each inside rail to give an element of super el...

I have quite a collection of O gauge, as featured on my flickr site, and its currently insured for £53 annually, as an extra on the contents insurance. The Halifax sent an assessor round to take photos and have a nosey where its stored etc, and it was sorted very easily. Cover is up to £20,000 if I ...

Ive been thinking how useful this new vapeing trend could be, I dont use them at all but their potential for providing smoke for steam train photography is very appealing. Blowing a mouthful through a tunnel just as a train emerges, or having a loco apparently wreathed in steam while stood in a yard...

A little bit more progress made but a few days of rain has slowed things down. I've added a new folder on my flickr pages to put photos of the railway into, link provided below. The footpath crossings now in place and the station trackwork is coming along nicely. And trains have been running too!......
