Particularly interested in how you went about painting her as that is the stage I am at with my Sweet Pea and I hate nothing more than spending hours preparing and painting parts to then have them ...

Humbrol brought back their paint production to the UK years ago as mentioned and all the new tinlets I have bought are good quality.

You must be very healthy to be able do all that manual work, well done. My job is mainly desk based and leaves me with endless aches and pains so to then attempt that amount of digging and manual labour at the weekend would leave me very broken for Monday morning! I have used one of these for years as a top up bottle: https://www.jacksonsminiatures.com/railway.html The 'syringe attachment' you have been sold in the photo looks like just a piece of copper pipe which won't create a seal when inserted into the top up valve so you need to use an appropriate sized...
