I would agree with Lonsdaler. I don't think emulsion would weather well outdoors. Acrylic would be my choice.

I rarely buy from ebay. Bargains seem to be a thing of the past.

If I can't find what I want elsewhere its my place of last resort.

That sounds like the joys of steam engines. They all have character and are individual. No two are alike in my experience.

12 inch to the foot ones are just the same.

For me, that's the charm and appeal.

The blue is a Very similar shade to the Roundhouse blue. I nearly got my loco in blue I was so taken with it.

Can't wait to see your loco finished, but don't rush the painting stage.

I'm guilty of running empty mineral wagons and flat wagons.

It's nice to see loads being conveyed and working vehicles. Is it a mess van next?

I too regard myself as a bodger rather than a modeller and I'm certainly not an engineer!
