Thanks Andrew, its the upper loop in terms of distance from the bottom of the garden however it could also be classed as the lower loop because the spiral will go around that and over the track like at Ddualt  I will raise the soil height so "ground level" will be at the height of Ddu...

A tender for Bertie (with a difference)

Hi, i am just about to start building a tender for my roundhouse bertie. I want something different so have not gone down the standard roundhouse tender kit route but instead thought about a far more unique but far more scruffy version  anyway my idea is to use the idea of this: https://www.goo...

Diana as a loco project?

As you maybe aware the valve of rheidol have recently steamed Diana for the first time for 65 years and im sure you will agree it is a splendid looking loco. It got me thinking how about a 16mm one?, a roundhouse slip eccentric chassis may suit it perhaps as it doesn't have much valve gear exposed a...

He has recently brought a brand new accucraft ragleth and although originally she ran fine straight out of the box after a few runs it became obvious she lacked power ...

Good little Trees/bushes

A quick look at my local webbs garden center's miniature alpine plants section revealled some quite nice small branched bushes for not a bad price so i decided to buy two and see how they did in my garden. 2 months later and they seem to fit into the landscape perfectly, they are also very easy to &...
