My First Aster - A Schools
Despite having a number of Gauge one models for a while and a number of small shunters to run, I've always been longing a steam engine of my own. Thanks to selling off one of my 16mm engines and some birthday money, I was able to afford this! A Aster Schools. https://i.ibb.co/qY1Gkhv/151028175-10158...

Re: Gauge One Motive Power
Brilliant, great to see that gauge 1 is doable without spending thousands on live steam models! Are you planning to produce these as kits? I’ve been thinking that G1 needed something at the more accessible end of the market to get more people interested... As multiple people asked, they're on the w...

Gauge One Motive Power
https://i.ibb.co/17235MJ/IMG-9115.jpg With all the rolling stock I've been working on, some suitable Motive Power was definitely in order. Sadly my skills to build a steam engine are very limited and with CAD work on a suitable battery powered engine some months away, I worked with what I had and p...

Re: Gauge One Rolling Stock in 1:32 scale

With the business winding down for the year, time to get some more stuff drawn up! Currently looking at a set of SR d...

Re: Gauge 1 ‘project’
Hi,
Guildford Model Engineering are a dangerous bunch aren't they! They're the reason I got into Gauge 1. Always good to see someone else doing it on here. I look forward to seeing how your Project turns out!

Re: Bowaters Models - 16mm Rolling Stock Kits
Thanks Jon, Just ordered my next pair of WHR shorties. Nearly completed the first, for evaluation. Still finding it a little on the long side for my line. Thinking of carving the open down to a 4w version to run mid-set. Not a problem at all! They've ended up in Batch M-0030 which is the one after ...

Re: Gauge One Rolling Stock in 1:32 scale
I'm really enjoying the Gauge One stuff, just lovely... Of course, you really need a "birdcage" brake to go with the Bluebell carriages... Keep up the good work, and thanks for the pictures! Andrew. Funny you should mention a birdcage coach...... https://i.ibb.co/kSTspDN/26-B83-E6-B-1-EB2...

Re: Gauge One Rolling Stock in 1:32 scale
Having wanted a pair of 100 seaters, I was kinda wondering how I'd do it when I have a rule of only one of each coach I build being in existence at once (I only have limited storage room in the shed for coaches) so when a customer asked could I modify the now released kit slightly, what a perfect re...

Re: Coronavirus projects
My Coronavirus projects have been a load of Gauge 1 stock all of which has now run down the local model engineering club. Steadily getting there, just need to wait on some more chassis parts then I can design the chassis for the next pair of locos then some corridor coaches! Plus a load of other com...

Thanks for all the comments guys! Wagons and coaches are good, looking forward to the GWR stuff, will there be a rake of chocolate and cream? They certainly look good! I'm not sure what Richard Maunsell would have made of the pink buffers though, :? ;) Rik They don't look so pink anymore! Now in a very fetching shade of SR Brown. https://i.ibb.co/7rK2rDG/BMG-0002.jpg Recent work has seen a set of pregrouping passenger coaches also drawn ...

Re: Loco name-plates
Used Narrow Planet for years without any major issues. But then even I have to admit things have slowed down a lot recently not helped by lockdown shutting down their etchers! Normally very good finish and quality (just received a set for my Upnor Castle). And before anyone starts, yes I did use to ...
