Re: Building a radio controlled (electric) traction engine
Fair comment, little bits are still better than a great big lump though, but it’s your build and it is what ever is best really. Try different ways of doing it and see what works.

Great video, but I don’t think putting lead around the gearbox would help much, but the lead in the smoke box would and it’s easy to fold to shape in the smoke box.
Re: India
Nothing wrong with having an adventure down Sarth’ or the North East or North West or anywhere in the UK Rik…..
The way you tell your adventures, is like listening to a teacher reading a story to us and we all imagine were are there too.

Re: Music
Peter, the Jazz is not really my thing, it does have some very nice Sax on some but it is the Soul part that I enjoy the most. And the classical I have always enjoyed, I am not saying I know who’s who or anything, but I do love music and not too much of that stuff they do today. Ok I am sounding lik...

Re: Naive, Lofty, Idealistic dreams of a first layout
Well Jeff, that is certainly a very ambitious layout indeed and I love it. All three sheets show me what a brilliant line it will be, I personally can’t see any problems with the raise and fall of your line, but has you have the two semi circle curves at the bottom of your plan, the 36” radius look ...

The End Of FWLR

I wonder If they do one in Whitworth/BSP? A few years ago on April 1st and for the sake of tradition I sent a day release college lad to the paint factors next door for a can of tartan paint..... Damn Vauxhall had introduced a colour called tartan red and the lad brought back a gallon. :laughing3: ...
