Thanks for the kind words, it’s far from perfect though, I think the photos are flattering!
Gareth, I do think you are "under selling" yourself, there is some very fine workmanship there.

Hi Nigel and welcome to the forum, you have had advice form two of the foremost knowledgeable people of the the forum (there are others of course), but as each has said, a little more information would be of benefit to enable a fuller and more complete answer. I'd be happy for PayPal not to refund these greedy folks, they need to learn their lesson Not everybody who falls for scams are greedy, some just don't have a lot on money and are careful what they do with it, other just do not see it as a scam because they "don't see scams", and just thi...

Re: Roundhouse Fowler

I have opted for the DJB Engineering whistle, and being a new loco, and as I do not have access to the necessary workshop equipment I asked Paul of DJB to carry out the fitting as part of his service. Finding a courier/post where I could ship and insure the loco for its fully value was fun (but that...

If we think about this matter seriously... (???) it is clear that a large volume of liquid in a single container is impractical, especially when it needs to be attended by an on-board Doctor in case baffles come into contact with delicate parts! ! It could be overcome though. What about individual ...

Re: Choosing and Using a Resin printer

Philip, very helpful, i am considering a 3D printer and followed a number of threads, and although I am impressed with what I have seen, I am still not sure, it would seem that the resin printer leaves less striations, than the filament type printers, is that correct. Oh, and happy printing.

Rod the planking wood grain effect is really great looking, a couple of questions, the base I assume is your favourite acrylic or enamel paint, however for the stain, this actual wood stain or a further coat of "brown" paint.

Re: Upgraded MSS loco - expecting too much?

When i bought my Roundhouse loco earlier this year, the recommendation were the loco would require "running-in" under a light load for a couple of hours. I found that the pulling power was not as good as I was expecting, especially up gradients. However a couple of weeks ago I put the heav...
