Sorry, i had to say edrig as my mamod does my head in! It is so flamin unreliable! One day it will pull a decent length train for ages, others it won't pulll the skin off a rice puddin'! all the edrigs I have seen have run well consistently! That being said, I don't want an edrig! My sights are much...

Cool, have you seen the battles they have at Peasholm Park in Scarborough, with the 30ft long boats with blokes in them? Ruddy fantastic, there is a video of YouTube, but it doesn't convey the excitment and coolness of being there. Have I? lol! Being from Scarborough (until a few years ago) I have ...

Perhaps pulling the skin off a rice pudding might be the ultimate challenge for an Accucraft Garratt! Back on topic however, I would have to agree that the Lady Anne does seem to be the loco of choice! It's certainly on my shopping list, even if I will have to buy it in stages and build from a kit! ...

new online user record!

Just looked at the stats at the bottom of the page. The most users ever online was this evening at 20:47 (actually 19:47 in the UK). I guess the forums are growing!

mamod sight glasses

With regard to blown mamod sight glasses, I have had a few over the last few years! However, a good idea is when they do go, don't rplace them with standard mamod loco sight glasses, get the traction engine sight glsses and round off the corners so they fit. They are thicker and will last longer! Ma...

Re: My accidents.

Hi. Since I only own Mamods and a Jane, and my line uses sharp mamod track, derailments are common on my line. One of the most serious crashes involving one of my engines happened on a line in Carlisle, when one of my mamods ran full speed into the front of a stationary Mamod. Mine survived without...

big big

I wouldn't necessarily say it started with Big Big Trains, but I did have a couple of the sets that I used to play with on the patio when I was little! Around about my 7th Xmas (or it could have been a few years later), I was introduced to live steam. My Uncle (PTLRCecil's dad) bought me a Mamod Tra...
