I'll follow this with interest. Somewhat of a contrast to the conditions I'm facing in the NW of England. So far this year, rain, followed by rain, followed by even more rain.

What surprised me is the large number of variations in the basic design of these locos, which is why I felt justified if creating yet another version.

No idea. I've just done a search on t'internet, and found nothing definitive in terms of numbering systems for miniature screwdrivers. Flat bladed all seem to be measured in fractions of mm and mm (and are colour coded). Cross head are numbered but only go from 000 to 1. I did find this on numbering...

More seriously, what do you use to produce the lovely schematic diagrams like this one. It obviously doesn't take all that long to do, given the response time from my post to your reply. Another possibility is that the 3' gauge railway is the 'mainline' and the 2' gauge railway is an 'Estate Railway' transporting goods and passengers from/to the mainline to/from a stately home.

They must have existed but not yet tracked one down.

Of course, the Peckforton Light Railway is a three-foot line with two two-foot feeders (copper mine and sand quarry) ....
