Millies seem to have a little better haulage capacity and inimagine that is because the burner is larger and there is more water in the boiler

Hi , I'm at the moment considering adding weights to my locomotives although I'm not sure if this will actually increase there capabilities up gradients , with my roundhouse Bertie , she can fly round on the level but up gradients has a tendency to wheels slip without to much behind her, some occasi...

Metal lathes

Hi all, i was wondering if anyone knew of a good easy to use beginners metal lathe that will do most jobs required in this hobby, i dont need a very fancy one so dont mind a more budget end one just something that will do the job to a reasonable standard. Advice would be appreciated cheers

if i was you grab one of those 20 pound water butts from b and q and get a pack of rain water filters from derails and hey presto lots of useful rain water for 25 pounds
on a different note i think there should be better advice on a proper website on where to get water from
