Thanks Peter, I did not buy from the link I provided although I should of now -sigh-

So to anyone else thinking of buying one of these do not use the supplier listed in Amazon as "otherland" as although cheaper it does not have the longer axles.

Where did you purchase your car from Peter to get the longer axles?

Yes, I seem to have the nasty cheap version!

Spent hours looking at gears/sprockets and have no idea what to buy so Keith as you have no railway I can test your van out for you if you send it my way haha ;)

Good luck with your builds.

I cut the wheels off as I could not get the original wheels to slide off the axles. I have measured the axles after cutting plus the pieces left in the metal wheels and they only measure around 50mm. So if the axles had been longer I would not have had to try and replace them which has resulted in t...

I got mine in the post today and got on with removing the original wheels which will rust nicely in my scrap yard :) As I run 32mm the axles on the Zecar are not long enough to allow the use of axle boxes other than for cosmetic use: ./myff/1876896/Untitled12.jpg I would prefer the axles sit in axle...

Got a call from a mate of mine who saw this at a local boot fair:

Image

Knocked the price down to £30. It's only 250w but the belt is in good condition and the chuck has no play.

I think the model number is PP250BD so looks to be something B&Q use to sell?

That's interesting as that is the only thing that puts me off this idea as the wheelbase is very short.

When I get mine I will see if it's possible.

Keith/Zach, This looks very interesting - and very effective too. Is it expensive and is much skill required to build it? All the best, Andrew Cheap: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kikkerland-1589-Zecar-Wind-Up-Toy/dp/B000L2JVKW/ref=sr_1_1?m=AJ491Y5VEZ7HI&s=kids&ie=UTF8&qid=1429819470&sr=1...

Thanks Keith.

I have all the bits needed to have a go at one of these so will give it a try before investing in SSP slomos :)

Hi David,

Thanks for the clearer photos.

Unfortuantely, looking at their size they would not work with the larger Acccurcraft choppers to couple properly?

Can we see it running please?

Bogie brake van

Got this off eBay recently, quite pleased with it: /myff/tom_tom_go/DSCN2582_zpsuvrsnwsn.jpg I did not think something this big would work on my small line but it goes round quite well and the overhang on the tight curves is not as bad as I expected. First mods will be to get rid of the buffers for ...
