Construction continued apace this weekend.

For what it's worth my son and I run both live steam locos, electric shunters and a railbus. We love the initial faffing, just like the real thing, with the steamers. I use the SLR lamps on my locos and they are very good.

I had a quick go just to make sure it worked before Santa"s elves whisked it away to be wrapped and I'm quite impressed; chunky looks, very slow running ability and quite a load hauler. A bit of detailing and she'll be alright. I'll keep you posted.

A Mamod Boulton is apparently ticking over under the tree....

It's a tanilised timber frame 'L' bracketed to an existing concrete path, topped with felt covered exterior ply. I wanted ventilation underneath as it's so close to the house wall. I struggle with taking decent pictures but then I always use whatever phone I have at the time.

It's a very old converted dairy. If you look closely you can see the blocked in doorway at the far end where they used to take the cows in for milking. And yes, it will make a great backdrop especially as tnere's a profusion of Mind Your Own Business growing up the wall ready to creep over the track...
