Hi Phil, the router was hand-held with the workpiece clamped down and the router guide fitted. I agree the mess was quite considerable but well worth the end result.

I do like the idea of a self-propelled milk float Simon, that would be something different, but useful too!
I'm sure someone makes milk crates to load on the back, and your name could appear on the sides of the canopy.

In my world the sand is clean and the beach suitable for bathing..... Blue Flag standard (according to EU regulations). But!.... as soon as we leave I will cover it with oil and sludge to make it more realistic!

If you have a Poundland nearby, try their grey primer in a rattle can. It is a dark grey and dries with a satin finish. I use it a lot and it works on metal and plastics. And guess what..... it costs just £1.00!
